    EBONY SWIRL

It’s a year already, and it feels like we have successfully strung a host of precious gems together. The clarity of which stimulates self-criticism. Our flaws have shown through a few weak editorials, a sometimes insufficient content, freighting delays and an imperfect binding once too many: Well, no more! So far our critics say of our work: “It wears right; it looks better on her waist in black; he rocks it neatly under his cloth; don’t you look different?; where are you going all dressed up?; You look good.

We have taken inspiration from the Gold Coast to the Gold City. We weighed a monthly CANOE against going International. The bigger picture; ‘53 Sails’, ‘53 Flags’, ’53 Nations’, ’53 Faces’, ’53 Shades of Black faces’, sailing to your coffee table; carrying the continent in one book, leases us a better lifespan. There is nothing more exciting than celebrating our magnificent continent. We are offering you a Coffee-table-luxury-quarterly filled with exciting discoveries of our wonderful continent. We sail across-seas to bring you all of Africa. We will then return to and beyond the continent to tell them about the new Africa. The Africa with a few people making leaders out of men, and the empowered woman on the rise. Who has better understanding of us than ourselves? Us. Who can identify our strengths and inspire our weak, through conscientising appraising and raising our standards. CANOE can.
